Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I participate in the virtual event?

Simply click the Livestream button when the event goes live on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 6:10 pm (EST). We recommend you tune in with two (2) devices (computer/tablet/cell phone/smart TV) or open two (2) tabs on your computer. If you have a Smart TV you can go directly to the You Tube App and type in Cancer Assistance Program.  On our channel, click live and you are ready to watch. This will allow you to watch the livestream program on one device and bid/give on another device on the bidding platform during the event.

2. What will the program be like during the event?

This program will be hosted by Layne, The Auctionista, where you will have the chance to support cancer patients in our community while enjoying an evening full of inspiration and entertainment. From the live performance of the Four Beat Fusion Jazz Quartet presented by FirstOntario Credit Union, to heartfelt greetings to moving testimonials, this event will highlight the incredible impact the Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) has on those battling cancer.

Explore a selection of exciting Silent Auction items, try your luck with purchasing our Mystery Envelopes and have the opportunity to contribute to a special fundraising appeal - all either in-person at Liuna Station or from the comfort of your own couch. This livestream is completely free to watch and available to anyone with internet access. It's an evening of giving back, made easy and accessible for everyone.

3. How can I bid on silent auction items, purchase mystery envelopes, or give towards the special appeal?

  • Register for online bidding at https://capca2024.ggo.bid/
  • Bid on your favourite silent auction items starting Friday, November 8, 2024 at 10 am.
  • Mystery envelopes will be available for purchase the evening of the gala - tune in to find out when!
  • Mystery envelopes are $25 each and you are guaranteed a prize valued between $25 - $160 (gift cards, gift baskets, and tangibles).
  • Give towards the special appeal (Fund-A-Need) during and after the livestream event.
  • The silent auction will close on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 9 pm.

 

Here is how you register to bid and give:

  1. Go to https://capca2024.ggo.bid/
  2. Click the “Get Started" button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. Click the green “Create Account” button (or login with your credentials from last year).
  4. Enter your email address.
  5. Wait for verification email (check your junk folder if you don’t receive it).
  6. Follow the verification link and complete the form. Be sure to provide your mobile number.
  7. Verify payment method, billing address, email and mobile number are correct. Click on grey boxes to update your information.
  8. Click on “Start Bidding!” link to enter the auction.
